Every year around Remembrance, you might notice something different about parts of the Forge Logistics fleet. Alongside our usual branding, some of our vans and trucks carry poppies and messages of remembrance.
It is something we choose to do every year. A simple gesture, but one that means a great deal to us.
Forge Logistics is a veteran owned business, and Remembrance is not just a date on the calendar. It is something that runs much deeper. For those who have served, and for those who have family or friends who served, the meaning of Remembrance Day is personal.
When we wrap parts of our vans and trucks with poppies, it is our way of honouring the men and women who served before us and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Many of us knew people who served in conflicts around the world. Some paid the ultimate price. Others came home changed forever.
The poppy is one of the most powerful symbols in the United Kingdom. It represents sacrifice, courage and the cost of freedom. By placing that symbol on our vehicles, we are making sure that remembrance is not confined to a single day or a ceremony. It becomes something visible out on the roads every single day.
Our vans and trucks travel thousands of miles every week across towns, cities and motorways. By carrying poppies on our fleet, the message of remembrance travels with us. People notice it in traffic, on driveways during deliveries, and outside depots. Sometimes it sparks conversations. Sometimes it is just a quiet reminder.
Both matter.
Military service leaves a lasting mark on a person. The values you learn in uniform stay with you long after you step back into civilian life. Discipline, teamwork, accountability and looking after the people beside you.
Those same values helped shape Forge Logistics.
Being a veteran owned business is something we take pride in. It influences how we run our company, how we lead our teams and how we approach the work we do every day. The mission may be different now, but the principles remain the same.
So each year, when our vans and trucks carry fields of poppies on the road, it is not just a design choice.
It is a statement of respect.
A moving tribute to those who served, those who sacrificed, and those who never came home.
Lest we forget.
